Sat night w/ the gang

My saturday was pretty dull at first. I was thinking of going to Napa w/ PG to the private winery, but didn't wake up early enough, and found that the winery was a private house, not a big winery, so I figured nah.. long drive, can't drive back drunk, and need to rest.

I had a good nap and then got my ass up to go out w/ VJ and her gang (Shidofu, SuperJen, Kathroom). Went to Madjewl for drinks and snacks. That girl Kathroom was really cute, I dig the nice smile and dimples. I met her before and didn't think much, but I realize that while you have a gf you don't notice things as much. Also when the girl is now married or off the market they also look better. Its a standard 'grass is greener' type of mentality.

After initial drinks, we were off to Suede! Let me tell ya, there is a side of the nightlife that I'm missing out on. Seems Jen and VJ know people at Suede. There was a line of like 30 people there, but VJ and Jen just walk up and talk to the dude who works there, and BAMN, we are in there for free. Its like traveling VIP style. Quite cool. Funny thing is.. there was no-one inside the club. Literally no-one. They hold the stupid line outside to create a buzz, but inside there were 0 people. We were the very first in there....

Anyways it was still cool to skip the line. Goes to show there is another level of action out there. I talked to only 1 girl that night. A pair of thai gals who had a boyfriend. Oh well. There were a few others I should have hit on, but wasn't feeling it that night. McG bailed on me too, I guess he wasn't up for it either. I think Holidays bring people down. I was a bit down before going out, but I'm glad I went out. Sometimes you have to drag your sorry ass out, 'cause moping at home is sometimes not that good.
